Ceramic Coating After Care Instructions
Congratulations on choosing to have your vehicle, boat, or recreational vehicle coated with one of our ceramic coating options! Ceramic coatings are an excellent way to protect your paint or gel coat and keep it looking shiny and new for years to come. In order to maintain the quality of your ceramic coating, it is important to follow these after care instructions:
-
Do not wash your vehicle, boat, or RV for 7 days after application of the ceramic coating to allow it to fully cure. Please note: Ceramic Coatings can take up to 30 days to reach maximum hardness. This will ensure that the coating properly adheres to your vehicle's paint.
-
When washing your vehicle, boat, or RV, use a pH-neutral car / boat wash soap and a microfiber towel or wash mitt. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as well as brushes and sponges are not recommended on Clear Coat, as they can damage the surface of ceramic coating and leave swirls on the surface of your coating.
-
Dry your vehicle, boat, or RV thoroughly with a clean, dry microfiber towel after washing. This will prevent water spots and ensure that your vehicle looks its best. We recommend using a blower. ( Leaf Blower )
-
Avoid washing your vehicle, boat, or RV in direct sunlight or high temperatures. This can cause the soap to dry too quickly and leave residue on the paint or gel coat.
-
Avoid using automated car washes, as they can damage the ceramic coating. Instead, hand wash your vehicle or take it to a professional detailer. Brushless Carwashes are OK.
-
Do not wax or apply any over the counter ceramic coating booster or spray applications to your vehicle, boat, or RV after applying ceramic coating. The ceramic coating will provide all the protection your vehicle needs, and these products can actually damage the coating, as well as VOID warranties.
If you notice any stains, bird droppings, or other contaminants on your vehicle, boat, or RV remove them as soon as possible. These contaminants can damage the ceramic coating if left on for too long.
All Ceramic Coatings applied to vehicles are reported to your vehicles CarFax, please allow up to 10 business days for the process to be completed.
At VIP Surface Concepts, we use Tiger Distributing Products a local company in Baton Rouge, LA. Please fill free to visit them at 9661 Chalma Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70814 for any chemicals or supplies for maintaining your vehicle, boat, or RV.
